What's the difference between a Session, Saved Session, and Scheduled Session?
By Dan Taylor
Understand the three types of workout sessions in LiftTracker.
LiftTracker has three distinct session types:
Session (Workout Log)
- What it is: A completed or in-progress workout
- Where to find it: Workouts tab (list icon)
- Purpose: Your workout history and active sessions
- Features: Tracks date, time, exercises, calories, heart rate, and mood
Saved Session (Template)
- What it is: A reusable workout template
- Where to find it: Saved tab → Saved section
- Purpose: Quick-start workouts you do regularly
- How to use: Create once, use many times by duplicating
- Example: "Full Body Routine", "Chest & Triceps"
Scheduled Session (Recurring Workout)
- What it is: A workout scheduled for specific days/times
- Where to find it: Saved tab → Schedule section
- Purpose: Plan your workout week with reminders
- Features: Set recurring days, add reminder notifications
- How it works: Creates a new Session when you start it
Quick Tip: Create a Saved Session template for workouts you do often, then add them to your Schedule for specific days!
